Will completing my NewlyNamed account impact my current driver's license or passport?

No. Completing Steps 1-3 in your NewlyNamed account will not affect the current status of your passport or driver's license. Your passport and driver's license will be updated to your new name after you submit your passport and driver's license applications included in your name change kit.  If you have existing travel reservations booked in your current/old name, then you can simply wait to submit the passport or driver's license applications until after you return from your trip(s). You won't run into any travel issues as long as the name on your travel ID (such as your passport or driver's license) matches the name on your airline ticket or travel reservation.
