Name Change Outside of the US
Our services are specifically tailored for customers physically located in the United States. If you are currently abroad—whether you're traveling for an extended period or living outside the U.S.—the name change process may differ significantly, and our name change kit instructions might not be applicable to your situation.
What Should I Do If I’m Outside the U.S.?
- If you are a U.S. citizen temporarily abroad:
- Your NewlyNamed order and account will never expire. Feel free to wait to complete and verify your account until you’re back in the U.S. and ready to change your name. We will not ship your NewlyNamed Box until you complete Steps 1-3 in your account.
- If you will not be back in the U.S. for an extended period, we recommend reaching out to the court system in the last U.S. state or county you lived in to inquire about the name change process while overseas.
- If you are not a U.S. citizen or resident: Our name change kits are intended for individuals changing their name who are physically located in the U.S. If you have already purchased NewlyNamed and cannot use our services, please contact us at support@newlynamed.com and we can assist with canceling your order.
